Existing
Business Email Account
BlackBerry
integrates with your business email, providing you with
a wireless extension of your Microsoft® Outlook® or Lotus®
Notes® email mailbox. Messages sent from the handheld will
be sent from your existing address. This means you only
have one mailbox to manage and one email address for your
business card.
Set up your
business email account to work with your BlackBerry handheld
using the BlackBerry Web Client. Or alternatively, enterprise
customers can set up their BlackBerry handheld to integrate
with their enterprise email using the BlackBerry Enterprise
Server.
BlackBerry
Enterprise Server is optional server software that provides
enterprise users and IT departments with additional features
including: corporate data access, wireless calendar synchronization,
Triple DES security, simplified management and centralized
control.
Existing
Personal Email Accounts
With this
option, you can integrate your BlackBerry handheld with
the following existing email accounts: AOL®, MSN®, Hotmail®
as well as with POP3/Internet Service Provider (ISP) email.
The BlackBerry
Web Client is used to set up these accounts to work with
your handheld. Messages sent from the handheld use your
existing personal email address. Plus copies of messages
sent to your existing personal email account are pushed
to the BlackBerry handheld.
New
Handheld Email Account
With this
option, a new email address is provided with the BlackBerry
handheld, allowing you to start sending and receiving email
within minutes. The new email account is a personal and
private Internet/web-based email address which stores all
email messages and can be managed through the BlackBerry
Web Client*.
